Address

An address is essentially a string of characters that is generated using cryptographic techniques, and it serves as a destination or source for digital assets. Each cryptocurrency or digital asset has its own unique address format, and these addresses can be generated through different means, including:

  • Software wallets

  • Hardware wallets

  • Exchanges.

When a user wants to send or receive digital assets, they provide their address to the counterparty. Then it serves as a destination for the assets to be sent to or as a source for the assets to be withdrawn from. Each user must protect their addresses, using a secure wallet, avoiding sharing their address publicly, and regularly updating their security protocols.
