Flagpole

In trading, a flagpole is a technical analysis pattern that is commonly observed on price charts. It is a continuation pattern that typically occurs after a sharp and significant price move, either upwards or downwards. The pattern gets its name from its visual resemblance to a flagpole, with the vertical price movement representing the pole itself. The flagpole pattern consists of two main components: the flagpole and the flag. The flagpole is the initial price movement that occurs as a result of increased buying or selling pressure. This rapid move creates a strong and noticeable trend line on the chart.
