Sell Walls

A sell wall can be used to manipulate market sentiment by giving the impression of a bearish market or a lack of buyer interest. This is because traders may perceive that there is not enough buy-side liquidity to push through the sell wall, causing prices to stagnate or decrease. Also, it is often seen on order books and price charts, and traders will sometimes monitor these to predict market movements. If a large sell wall is suddenly removed or reduced, it can be a bullish signal, as it suggests a large amount of selling pressure has been removed from the market.
